Hari ini cuti. Mila, kekasih Azmi yang baru ditawan hatinya ketika sama-sama belajar di kelas Bahasa Inggeris sewaktu semester 2 mengajak Azmi pergi ke Kuala Lumpur untuk mengisi masa lapang dan menghabiskan waktu bersama-sama.

"Nak buat apa pergi Kuala Lumpur?" Azmi bertanyakan Mila.

"Alah saja jalan-jalan. . . Esok kan cuti, bukan ada kelas pun" laju jawapan Mila kepada Azmi.

"Takde duitlah. . . Dah habis beli buku rujukan termodinamik minggu lepas" dalih Azmi sebagai alasan menolak.

Mila tidak mengalah. "Takpe saya belanja tiket KTM dan makan. Haa. . . Nak pergi tak? Jomla temankan saya" laju jawapan Mila. "Saya pun nak cari baju kat Jalan TAR jugak tapi tak nak pergi sorang-sorang. . ." tambah Mila lagi.

"Habislah aku" bisik Azmi di dalam hati. Dia tahu dia tak boleh menolak lagi ajakan Mila shopping ke Kuala Lumpur

Roh Yang Kekal dan Badan Yang Hancur

Azmi kepenatan. Hari ini banyak betuk tugasan yang dia dapat dari pensyarahnya. Bahkan semua subjek pulak tu dapat tugasan hari ni.

"Penat betul belajar ni. Dahla berhutang dengan PTPTN semata-mata nak dapatkan sekeping sijil. Kalau ikutkan hati dan bukan sebab hasrat mak ayah, lama dah aku berhenti belajar ni cari kerja". Keluh Azmi keseorangan.

Hari ni dia mula belajar subjek baru, Falsafah dan Pemikiran. Sejak kecil, Azmi gemar berfikir dan termenung sendirian melihat alam, serangga dan sebagainya. Tidak dinafikan dia cemerlang apabila belajar sains, dan mendapat keputusan cemerlang dalam kesemua subjek sains tulen yang dipelajarinya di sekolah iaitu fizik, kimia, biologi dan matematik tambahan.

Baginya, sains sangat senang untuk difahami dan diikuti. Itulah yang membuatkan Azmi nekad memilih untuk mencabar dirinya mengambil subjek falsafah dan pemikiran sebagai subjek elektif walaupun sedang menghabiskan pengajian dalam bidnag kejuruteraan elektrik. Namun, subjek baru ini sangat susah untuk dia fahami.

"Dunia ini fana tetapi roh itu kekal" antara ayat pensyarah beliau yang masih tidak difahami oleh Azmi. Dia termenung keseorangan. . .

"Bukan ke roh itu mengikut badan? Bila tubuh badan manusia mati, maka roh pun akan mati. Macamana pulak roh boleh kekal sedangkan badan sahaja mati? Ini dah bertentangan dengan konsep ajaran Islam ni". Keluh Azmi sendirian.

Sedang Azmi termenung di katilnya, tubuhnya tiba2 melayang. Dilihatnya ada satu pusaran berwarna warni di atas langit dan mumcul satu tubuh daripada pusaran tersebut. Selang beberapa keika melayang di udara, tubuh itu membentuk seorang lelaki.

"Aku ni mimpi ke?" Gumam Azmi keseorangan. Dicubitnya pipi dan pehanya sendiri. Sakit. "Eh tak mimpi pun ni. Kat mana aku sekarang ni?" Azmi tertanya-tanya.

Dihadapan beliau duduk seorang lelaki berjambang dan memakai kopiah dan sedang merenung tajam ke arahnya. Azmi ketakutan. Lelaki itu seolah-oleh boleh nampak dirinya. Lelaki tadi bangun dan menunjukkan jari ke arah Azmi.

"Kau siapa?" Soal lelaki tadi. Kenapa boleh berada di sini?" Dia meneruskan persoalan sambil menunjukkan jari ke arah Azmi.

"Saya Azmi, pelajar sebuah IPTA. Saya pun tak tahu kenapa saya boleh sampai ke sini..." jawab Azmi jujur.

"Baik Azmi... jawab soalan aku kalau kau mahu pulang ke tempat asalmu" jelas lelaki tadi.

"Soalan apa encik?" Azmi bertanya lagi. Dia takut tetapi memberanikan dirinya untuk menjawab persoalan tersebut. "Boleh saya tahu nama encik?" Azmi cuba bertanyakan peribadi lelaki misteri tersebut.

Lelaki misteri: Adakah roh dan badan berasal dari sumber yang sama?

Azmi: Tidak sama

Lelaki misteri: Adakah roh dan badan akan berakhir menjadi satu pengakhiran yang sama?

Azmi: Tidak sama

Lelaki misteri: Adakah roh boleh hancur kalau badan hancur?

Azmi: Ikutkan logik, bila badan berakhir maka roh pun akan mati

Lelaki misteri: Kenapa roh harus ikut badan kalau kedua-duanya tidak berasal dari sumber yang sama?

Azmi: Kita ambil contoh rokok. Asap rokok, rokok dan api rokok adalah satu benda yang sama. Bila rokok habis dihisap, maka asap rokok habis dihisap, api pun padam maka rokok pun habis. Takde kalau rokok habis tapi api tak habis.

Lelaki misteri: Contoh tu tak sama dengan roh dan badan. Rokok berasal dari sumber yang sama tetapi roh dan badan berasal dari sumber berbeza.

Azmi : Kalau begitu memang betul bahawa roh dan jasad itu dua entiti berbeza dan bukan benda yang sama.

Sedang Azmi berfikir dan bercakap sendirian, dia tiba-tiba pitam dan akhirnya tersedar bahawa dia berada di atas katil di dalam bilik hostelnya sahaja. Langit di luar sudah sangat gelap dan azan maghrib sudah berkumandang.

"Nasib baik aku dah solat asar kat masjid kolej tadi" bisik Azmi sendirian. Dia mula bangun dan mencapai tualanya. "Lapar ka pulak" cakap Azmi sendirian. Di handfon pun dah ada lebih kurang 12 misscall; 10 dari kekasihnya dan 2 dari best friendnya mengajak Azmi keluar makan malam.

Sedang Azmi berjalan menuju ke bilik air, dia terpandang satu nota kecil yang terletak di sudut mejanya. Azmi membeliakkan mata membaca nota tersebut;

"Kehadapan sahabatku Azmi, semoga dengan berfikir mampu mencelikkan mata dan membuka hati : al-Kindi, roh itu hidup tidak mati"

Azmi terduduk di atas katilnya kembali, tadi dia berdialog dengan al-Kindi sebenar atau hanya sekadar mimpi?

"Macam mana nota ni ada kat sini? al-Kindi bukan dah lama meninggal ke? Siapa aku bercakap tadi? Astaghfirullah al-'Adzim. . ."

Azmi menggelengkan kepalanya. Dia beristighfar dan meneruskan hajatnya ke bilik air

BE GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING

We never stop complaining, never stop whining

We look for something more than we can afford to

We seek satisfaction from something more than we should earn

We lust for attention in everything more than we valued ourselve

Didn't we learnt from the stories of our fathers?

Didn't we took advice from our grandparents? father and mother?

Remember the advice from Book of Guidance that is al-Quran, it was mentioned that

"....anyone who is grateful does so to the profit of his own soul..." (al-Quran surah Luqman 31:12)

Meaning that being grateful will purify our soul..
Look what greed had done to our world

The richer tend to live in their richness, forgetting the poor

Meanwhile the poor seek perfection neglecting happiness they should really look after

Be grateful for everything we have

Cause everytime we regret and missed 'something'

When we already lost that 'something'

Teh Tarik Teh Ais

Malaysia is a unique and special country, and this can be seen in many aspects such as the peoples' hospitality, the weather, the nature, the food and drinks and many more.

Today I will talk about one of Malaysian favourite drinks, loves by Malaysian from all generations and ethnics, that is Tea or simply 'teh'.

Unlike the British people, majority of Malaysian love to drinks tea in two types, Teh Tarik (Hot tea with milk) or Teh Ais (Ice Milk tea).

In whichever situation or time, morning, afternoon, evening or supper, teh tarik or teh ais will be the ultimate choice. In any situation, bussiness discussion, loitering or lepak with friends, these two tea will be drank by Malaysian from all sorts of life.

If you happen to travel to Malaysia ( wether for long term or just short stopping trip) don't forget to taste this two tea made famous in Malaysia.

WHY MUSLIMS PERFORMS 5 PRAYERS A DAY?

“What did Muslims actually do in mosque during prayer times? Did they sing? Did they hold a choir memorial? Did they read books or oath loudly? Did they knee to a statue as their God?” These are question asked by Michael Smith, an architect from United Kingdom when he suddenly come across Muslims going to pray in a mosque during evening (Asr prayer) and that mosque happen to be opposite of his newly opened office in the middle of the town. The truth is Michael always believe the media, he believe that these Muslims are training to become a terrorists in mosque, and the prayer time and prayer calls (athan) are training siren.

“Well Michael, you know as they say, seeing believes. I will take you to the mosque” replied Mehmet, a Britton of Turkish origin who is a Muslim himself, who happens to be his co-partner at the office.

“Actually I want to ask these questions long time ago since my studies day but there’s no one for me to ask for, and since I knew you are a Muslim also I hope you can brief me about this” said Michael unsatisfied with Mehmet answer.

Realising Michael really seeks the answer, Mehmet replied: “Well mate, like I said, seeingbelieves. I don’t want to answer to you; I want to take you to the mosque to see it and experience it for yourself. Let’s go!!” Then Mehmet take Michael to the mosque opposite their office. There for the first time Michael see, watch and even try to learn the movement of Muslim prayer. He saw Muslims from all sorts of background, rich, poor, tall, short, fat, skinny, white skin or black skin, Asian, European, African, all line up together, doing prayer together. That action fell to his heart. And from that day although not a Muslim, Michael learns to respect and appreciate Muslims prayer

The main point here is non-Muslims they want to know what Muslims are doing during our congregation, praying time. Muslims should invite non-Muslims friend to come to the mosque and watch how the Muslims pray. It is not a sin inviting non-Muslims to church, and it had been practiced by Rasulullah SAW before. We should promote Islam by showing to our non-Muslims friend the true reality of our religion, not just by hiding or scared to tell them.

ALLAH THE ONE AND ONLY GOD, THE ALMIGHTY GOD

Allah is the One and Only God. What does Non-Muslim know about Allah? Who is Allah? What is Allah? Well let us all know.

Allah is the God that Muslim worship, He is not neither born nor begotten. Allah doesn’t have and shapes, size, measure, image or anything. Muslim believe that only after the Judgement days that Allah can be seen.  Allah didn’t live in any castle, palace or house (like some Greek Gods live), or doesn’t live in any place. He is the ruler. He can be anywhere He wants to. Allah knows everything, not every single thing happening in this universe not known to Him.

If there’s a Muslim who doesn’t believe in Allah, or believe that there is other God beside Allah, his believe is not true according to true Muslim’s belief. All Muslim believe that Allah is the only God that has powers on all of things, all of happenings. In Arabic it is called Tauhid al-Rububiyyah, meaning “Believing that only Allah can creates, have powers and control over everything” The word “have powers and control over everything” can be explained that only Allah create human, animals, insects, trees, plants, the mountains, the clouds, earth, moon, other planets, our universe, galaxy and many other things such as disease, nature, virus, rain, and everything. He is the one that creates, rule, govern, own, and can destroy it when the correct time comes (judgement day).

Another belief of Muslim is called Tauhid al-Uluhiyyah, or can be translated as “Believing that only Allah is the true God that Muslim had to know, approve, and worship, there’s no other God beside Allah and no other things equal to be worshipped as Allah”. This can be said that if there’s a Muslim believe that Allah had a subordinate, a demi-God (half god) or other God equal, lower or powerful than Allah than this belief is wrong. Totally, totally wrong!!! 

Question been asked, why only one God? Isn’t it easier for God or Allah to have many subordinates God to help in controlling the universe, the world? OK let’s talk and discuss about this logically.

Let’s say there is a country called Country A. This Country A has a government, and the country rules stated that the one who rule the country is the most powerful person in charge, the President. OK get the idea so far? What if there are two Presidents in Country A, who is the most powerful one? President X and President Y surely both cannot have full powers, right? Not having full powers means that they are not powerful yet, and by sharing powers also mean they are not so powerful because they both share and depend on each other.

So change this President title into God, and you will get the same idea. No God is powerful enough if that God have to depend on others, and not powerful enough if that God have to share power with other God. Remember Hercules story where Zeus were defeated by Hades, even though Zeus is the most powerful God of Greek. Shame isn’t it? Right? That is not the true image of a powerful God. That is why for Islam, and Muslim, and advisable to all non Muslim to accept that Allah is the One and Only God, the Most Powerful.

How do we explain to people about Prophets, Nabi and Rasul?

Muslims believe in Nabi and Rasul as the messengers of Allah to promote and teach Islam to human

There are 5 Ulu al-Azmi Rasul (Those who had been test with the highest test of faith and their live), 25 Rasul that Muslims must believe of their existences as messenger of Allah, and there are also around (approximately 24,000 other Rasul and approximately 313,000 Nabi that Allah SWT kept secret from us Muslims doing their job to preach Islam.

And futhermore, Muslims do BELIEVE in JESUS !!

Maybe we Muslims believe in JESUS more than Christians do..

The simple analogies are like this:

After a Muslim Professor had just finished his talk about Islam in an open seminar, when suddenly a student raises his hand and start asking question. This student is a loyal and pious Catholic student who came just to listen to the talk and confuse people about Islam. So his question sounds devilish to some of the listener.

“Professor, may I ask?” asked this student.

“Please, ask what may had confused you” said the Professor politely.

“Than you sir”, he take a deep breath, and continue his talking, “You said earlier in your speech that Muslims believe in God, in Prophets, but why do I heard that Muslim doesn’t approve Jesus? Doesn’t this belief contradict with what you said about Muslims?” he finished his question with a loud clapping from the audience.

“Aah!!! Jesus Christ, the man of attention” replied the Professor shortly. “Ok, about Jesus Christ. I will explain to you and all audience what the Muslim really thought of him” Said the Professor. And he continued: “All Muslim approve and know Jesus Christ. One who doesn’t approve of Jesus Christ is not a complete Muslim in belief.”

“What, really Professor? How can you say that?” said the student, realizing that he is now the one getting confusedinstead of trying to confuse everyone else.

“Yes, true...really true. A Muslim is one who has to believe in all prophets sent by Allah to educate and teach people of Islam, from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Job, Jesus, to Muhammad. And all of these prophets are messenger of Allah, not to be worship or anything. So these prophets include Jesus Christ also. We Muslim believe in Jesus as the Messenger of Allah only and not the God’s son or God like the Christian believe.” explained the Professor.

This statement shocked the student. Never before in his entire life, had he heard that Muslims ever believe in Jesus, not that what he was taught in school or church. That opens up his heart and mind to learn more about Islam, this time not from Christian or Father, but from Muslim.

ISLAMOPHOBIA, WHY DOES IT EXISTS?

Why do people around the world are afraid of Islam? What is this so called Islamophobia? Is it contagious? Is it dangerous?

ISLAMOPHOBIA

Yes, this word is the most famous word in the world, famous in search engines and maybe the internet community. Islamophobia consist of two words, Islam and phobia. Islam came from Arabic word Salam – that is a word that means ‘submission or surrender’, but also can be translated as peace and harmony.

Islam as a whole phrase can be translated simply as: a religion the believers believe in Allah, have faith in the Last Messenger of Allah, Muhammad Rasulullah and his teaching, and also believe in other prophets send by Allah, believe in al-Quran as the Book of Allah and guidance but also believe in other books such as Torath, Bible and Zabur. Phobia comes from Greek word Phobos meaning fear or morbid fear. In phrase we can translate Phobia as “An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something”.  It is a type of anxiety disorder cause by persistent fear of things, objects, situation, people, organization or cause from one owns’ imagination.

So combine these two words Islam and Phobia and we get a new word, Islamophobia. What is actually this Islamophobia thing? Oxford Dictionary Online translates Islamophobia as: noun; a hatred or fear of Islam or Muslims, especially as a political force.Collins English Dictionary Online translates Islamophobia as hatred or fear of Muslims or of their politics or culture. That’s right, fear of Islam or Muslims. Why should other people fear of Islam and Muslims in the first place? Why the people of the world are being brainwashed by the media to fear Muslim and Islam? Is there any concrete reason for that?

People tend to be afraid of something they cannot or didn’t understand. For example a man named John, John works as a professional skydiver, he do stunts and also teach people how to skydiving. But let’s say if there’s a bank coming to him asking him to audit their account, will John do it out of knowledge? Nah, 100 % guarantee he won’t. He will be afraid to do it because he doesn’t know accounting or doesn’t even have knowledge. Got the idea here? That is also the same situation happening to human and people all over the world when being mentioned about Islam. They don’t know, they don’t understand that’s why they are afraid of Islam. 

LEARNING ISLAM FOR MUSLIM AND NON MUSLIM

TO NON-MUSLIM

Learning Islam is not hard, Islam is the easiest and simplest religion that can be understand by the entire human in the world. Only those who want to open their mind, ready to learn and listen to the words and engage in academic and professional discussion can learn and understand Islam. You don’t have to convert to Islam to understand Islam, and you are not supposed to look through Muslims to learn and understand Islam, as the religion and its practitioner are two completely different things. Learn Islam through reading related books or websites, seek forums (with correct guidance, and not all online forums can be trusted), and also ask for help from those who really know and understand Islam, scholars who can help and guided you in learning Islam (and not just picking up someone we assume a Muslim but doesn’t know Islam either). Open up; let’s be friend, friend in religion and friend in understanding.

TO MUSLIMS

Our Prophet Muhammad SAW had reminded us that we Muslims carry the image of Islam. We are the representative of our religion, the promoter of peace and tranquillity in life.  We should heed to the advice of our Prophet in promoting Islam the correct way, don’t scare others with bad image and negative reflections of Islam. Remember, we will be rewarded by Allah for explaining Islam.  Our job is to promote the goodness and positive values of Islam, not to convert people. That is Allah’s job, human should not do Allah’s job as we are powerless. So lets us all promote Islam in a better way and make sure we Muslims have good connection and relationships with practitioner of other religion such as Christian, be it Catholic, Protestant or Evangelical, Buddhist, Hindus, Confucius, Lao Tzu, Sikhs, and many other religious in the world.

My Lovely Wife and I

Alhamdulillah to Allah, syukur for everything He the Almighty had given to me since the beginning of life: the living breath, health, money, family, education, knowledge, job, strenght, and the latest, my beautiful wife Asma' bt Ahmad Shukri.

No words can desribe how grateful I am to the gift Allah had pleasured upon me and my family. I pray for Allah to make me a humble and thankful person for Him by doing all his deeds (solat, zakat, fast (thaum), hajj, and everything..

This post is a special tribute from me to my wife, Asma bt Ahmad Shukri for being the most cutest, most beautiful, most caring, understanding and great support to me. Can't describe how I am feeling since the day we first met, befriend, geting engaged and at last, married. Its like I got another super powerful life after support and acknowledgment of my parents and families.

Rasulullah SAW the Greatest Leader

Recently reading Muhammad  Stories From Early Source written by Martin Lings. (Picture below). Surprisingly for me I found some facts and information that I did not found (yet) in other books.

What surprise me is that this book combined well facts and stories with other seerah books (Sirah Ibnu Hisham, Raheeq Makhtum - The sealed Nectar, Collection of Hadith Sahih Bukhari and Muslim).

This books tell seerah Rasulullah from a good narrative side, easy to understand and bring us together in the life of Rasulullah SAW and his companions, since from the early life 'till, the startig of Prophethood, the struggles and jihad 'till Allah called for him to Jannah.

This book is a different type of seerah books unlike Fiqh Sirah by Mustafa Sibaie or In The Footstep of Muhammad by Tariq Ramadan. But reading different books give us different knowledge and understanding.

May Allah guide us all to follow the path and teaching of Prophet Muhammad and meet Him in Jannah. Ameen...

Our beloved Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat passed away last night..
9,40 p.m. 12 Februari 2015 at his village-wooden house in Pulau Melaka, Kelantan. 

It send shockwaves all over Malaysia

PAS Mursyidul Am, spiritual, advisor, returned to Allah SAW at the age of 84.. 

Frankly Malaysian cannot accept this news overnight.. Many are still in disbelieve

Alhamdulillah for all the blessing and nī'māh Allah has given upon Muslims, upon me. I pray for Allah rāhmāh and bārākaāh : for my life, my family and everyone Muslim all over the world.

The Quran and Iqra' class that started by my wife and continued until now is ONE YEARS OLD. We (me and my wife) had planned tp teach and guidance for young Muslim children in Taman Anggerik Nilai so that they can know, learn, read, and love to recite al-Quran.

Alhamdulillah this is a good idea and as our breakthrough to the afterlife ( yaumu al- ākhïrāh). This is mainly our investment to the Muslim people, the least we can do. Hopefully we can get Allah's belssing and following what Rasulullah SAW said;

خيركم من تعلم القران وعلمه
Meaning:
"And the best of you is those who learn al-Quran and those who teach (people) to learn it"
